2:48 Allen will not talk about Mike Shannahan, and says his goal is to beat the New York Giants with Jim Zorn.

2:46 Says there were other candidates, but will keep them anonymous.  Talks about how there had to be a change.

2:45 Talks about passion for what you do…instilled in him by his dad.

2:44 At the moment he is saying Jim Zorn is the coach.

2:43 Is talking about dealing with the salary cap.  When asked about Bruce’s autonomy…Snyder says Bruce has the authority.

2:41 Allen wants to evaluate and get a head start on 2010

2:40 Mentions that he was offered the Job this week.  This was a no brainer. Joe Gibbs called Snyder this morning, and confirmed the hiring and affirmed.

2:38 Looking to a year long work ethic out of this team

2:37 Allen says:

“I’ve seen the games, but I obviously haven’t felt the pain that’s been associated with 4-9. Starting today, I feel the pain.”
