A New Culture In Redskins Park

March 19th, 2010 | by Ryan John Estorninos |

It is only March, and players are excited.  Why so? Maybe showing excitement to show the new coaching staff that they want to remain here, and remain employed?  Maybe, but it feels like something more.  If feels that the Redskins seem to be appreciating that they have a coach that is implementing a culture they have not seen before.  A culture that is rooting its foundation in hard work, and looks to cap this hard off with meaningful wins. Jason Campbell told Washington Post reporter Jason Reid this week:

“It’s just totally different than it used to be,” quarterback Jason Campbell said. “Yeah, they’ve changed a lot of stuff around in the weight room, painted and moved some other stuff, but that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s really the feeling you get now just being [in the building].

It is one thing when a coach helps you become a better football player, and helps you try to excel in your position.  It is something else when they commit to helping you become a better athlete as a whole, long before the dog days of summer arrive.  That is what is going on in Ashburn these days, and players are catching on to it.  In order to be the best, you put in the hard work as early as you can.  This is not to say that hard work was not sought by this team before, but the fact that everyone is in the building says something else.

Campbell, the new 3rd string QB for the Skins. What a dolt. You’ve had 6 years and Todd Collins can step in and do better.

Yeah things have changed, sit down junior you ain’t playing anymore.
